I am very proud to be part of an new exhibit of contemporary photographers featuring images from across America. Each artist/photographer's work is accompanied by a comment about his or her photography. Each one tells something of what the photographer has learned about how to see, and the importance of the opposites in art and life as explained by Eli Siegel, founder of Aesthetic Realism. The basis of the Terrain Gallery, since its founding in 1955, is this principle state by Eli Siegel: "In reality opposites are one; art shows this."
